I am Professor of Mathematics at Instituto Superior Técnico and Member of the research center CAMGSD. Previously I was Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham and Assistant Professor (Akademischer Rat auf Zeit) at Universität Bonn, where I completed my Habilitation in 2017. I obtained my PhD from UC Berkeley in 2012 under the supervision of Michael Christ.
I am very broadly interested in mathematical analysis. My research focuses on harmonic analysis with special emphasis on sharp inequalities, oscillatory integrals and restriction theory for the Fourier transform. I am also interested in uncertainty principles, sphere packings and nonlinear Fourier analysis.
My research has been supported by AIM, FCT, EPSRC, DFG and NSF.
