I will talk about higher-spin gauge fields. In the first lecture I will discuss the extended gauge symmetry I found a couple of years ago with Francia, and its local realization I have built more recently with Tsulaia. In the second lecture I will discuss the Vasiliev equations and the role the extended symmetry plays in them, all related to work with Sezgin and Sundell to appear soon.
