Gauged Six-Dimensional Chiral Supergravity and its Origins from String Theory

Chris Pope

Abstract :
We discuss properties of the Salam-Sezgin chiral gauged supergravity in six dimensions, including the uniqueness of the Minkowski_4 vacuum, and the associated consistent Pauli reduction on S^2. We also show how it arises via a non-compact dimensional reduction from ten or eleven dimensions.
