TITLE: Chern-Simons Chain Field Theory

ABSTRACT: Given a manifold M, a Chain Field Theory over M is a kind of bundle over the n-cycles of M with generalised connection providing parallel transport over n+1-chains.  Such a thing encodes the notion of "extended action" of a field theory. I will discuss these and provide an example in dimension 2+1 whose holonomy gives the Chern-Simons action.
