Previous Meetings

The current meeting is the third meeting in a series of meetings dedicated to Poisson Geometry.

The first meeting was Poisson 1998, held at the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center in Warsaw, Poland (unfortunately, the homepage for this meeting is no longer available). It occured from August 3 to August 15, 1998, and the Organizing Committee was J.-P. Dufour (Montpellier), J. Grabowski (Warsaw), A. Weinstein (Berkeley), S. Zakrzewski (Warsaw), M. Zhitomirskii (Haifa). This first conference was a satellite meeting for ICM98, which was held at Berlin.

The second meeting was Poisson 2000, held at Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques, Luminy, France. This meeting was held from June 26 to June 30, 2000, and was organized by Jean-Paul Dufour (Montpellier) and Yvette Kosmann-Schwarzbach (Paris). The Scientific Committee was formed by Vladimir Arnold (Indep. Univ. Moscow), Johannes Huebschmann (Univ. Lille 1), Michael Karasev (Moscow Inst. Electronics and Mathematics), Alan Weinstein (Univ. California, Berkeley). A summary with abstracts of the talks for this conference is available.
