Rogier Bos


About me

I am a mathematics teacher at dutch highschool Christelijk Gymnasium Utrecht and a lecturer at the Mathematics Education department of the Hogeschool Utrecht. I recently joined the team of authors for De Wageningse Methode, a dutch series of mathematics books for secondary school.
In 2010 I obtained a master in Mathematics Education at Utrecht University.
In 2007-2008 I was a postdoc at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon (Portugal). My positon was funded by the Center for Mathematical Analysis, Geometry, and Dynamical Systems.
I obtained a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics as a member of the Mathematical Physics group of the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle physics at the Radboud university Nijmegen. My advisor was Prof. Dr. Klaas Landsman. The research was funded by a dutch science foundation called FOM, which is part of NWO. My Ph.D. research was on representations of groupoids, geometric quantization and K-theory. Watch an animation about groupoid symmetry that I made (no sound).
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Utrecht. My thesis was called Operads in Deformation Quantization and was written under supervision of Prof. Dr. I. Moerdijk.
