Numerical Approximation and Extrapolation Methods for Ordinary Differential
and Volterra Integral Equations
This mini-symposium is part of the
The aim of this Symposium is to bring together researchers working on different topics of applied mathematics and physics which involve the numerical solution of ordinary differential and Volterra integral equations. The scope of the meeting is the analysis and implementation of efficient computational methods for the approximation of such equations. Concerning Ordinary Differential Equations, we will consider initial and boundary value problems, as well as free boundary problems. We will focus on the most recent techniques for error control and improving the convergence of computational methods. In particular, we will be interested in extrapolation methods, as a way to accelerate the convergence of different discretization algorithms. Moreover, special attention will be devoted to singular equations and adequate methods to deal with them.
