Symplectic geometry of the moduli space of pointed algebraic curves
This talk will be a survey of a recent brilliant work by Maryam Mirzakhani
(Harvard) on the symplectic volume of the moduli spaces of bordered hyperbolic
surfaces and a new purely geometric proof of the Witten-Kontsevich theory.
